I believe in some circles this is known as masochism

So our 6.5-month-old puppy has finally gotten fully house trained, and just in the last month has reached the point where we can leave her alone in the house without being in a crate. She is not a barker, spends most of her day sleeping comfortably in my office, and spends her nights sleeping with us (I resisted, I resisted … then it got really cold out that week and … oh well. She’s like my living stuffed animal). She never wakes us up in the middle of the night to go out, is very good about letting us know when she needs to go out, loves to take walks and loves other dogs. Life was simplified.

So of course we had to screw it all up and get a new puppy.

We didn’t really mean to do it. We went to PetSmart to get a new brush for her – and of course had to go by the adoption center that’s there every weekend. I think in the back of our minds we both thought, well, if there was a puppy and Savannah seemed to like it, maybe but probably not really … but there were puppies. Ten-week old Lab mixes. A few hours and a few hundred dollars in adoption and vet fees later, we have two dogs.

So what’s life without a little extra Crazy?
